The Bukit Batok Community Club Chinese Orchestra (i.e. BBCCCO) first incepted in 1994 under the auspices of the Bukit Batok Community Club, was pioneered as an all-female exclusive troupe – a first in Singapore. Ever since, through its leaves in history, the BBCCCO has been a musical haven for oriental music lovers. Through the various batons of conductors past, the BBCCCO has conducted several well received musical exchanges in various countries, with Malaysia and Hong Kong among this list.

At present, the BBCCCO is directed by Mister Chew Keng How – a home grown talent skilled in the Erhu and founding member of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra - . Along with winds instrument instructor Vincent Tan Eng Kiat, the duo has brought oriental tunes on various occasions. Under the baton of Mister Chew, the orchestra has held a highly successful Chinese New Year 2011 concert attended by the incumbent MP Grace Fu. Another milestone of note was the first large scale collaboration with local flautist Phang Thean Siong and his students – held on the 13th August 2011 at the Singapore Conference Hall – which was positively received within the Chinese Orchestra community in Singapore.
